    Why I won’t be buying a 3rd party iPhone 4 case on launch day.

    This iPhone 4 launch is not my first iPhone I will have on launch day. In fact it will be my fourth iPhone purchased on launch day. With this work related obsession I have learned a few things along the way.

    Apple is secretive, well big duh there, right? This means they are not shipping prototypes off to your favorite iPhone case manufacturers so they can start producing for launch. So what’s a case manufacturer to do? They look at the pictures, take the specs and engineer a case that has never touched a real iPhone. I’m going to bet some of the better manufacturers probably have this down to a science and can whip one out that will be perfect and amazing. There will however be a lot of crap from people trying to make some quick money by having something available on launch day. I do however imagine that most products that are like the Invisible Shield would be OK. 

    So stick to brand name manufacturers and keep in mind that Apple is probably the only one that has tested their case on the real iPhone 4 before going to manufacturing. Good Luck with your cases and send me pics!! :)
